Select Style Review

Editorial policy

Select Style Review aims to make clothing and style easier to understand through clear, careful editorial work. Readers should be able to tell what a piece is saying, what it is not claiming and how to raise a concern.

Accuracy and care

We check factual statements against appropriate material before publication and distinguish established information from interpretation or preference. We use plain language, explain relevant terms and avoid presenting a subjective style view as a universal rule. If a subject cannot be handled responsibly within our knowledge and scope, we do not imply otherwise.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for reader relevance and clarity. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage, favourable wording or control of an editorial conclusion. We aim to keep editorial judgement separate from partnership activity.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error, write through the Contact page and identify the article and passage. We review specific, substantiated concerns and correct material when warranted. Where a meaningful correction is made, we make the change clear to readers rather than quietly leaving an error in place.

Partnerships and paid material

Any paid placement, sponsored feature or other material produced as part of a partnership is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. Partner links and placements are also identified as such. We do not present paid material as an independent recommendation.
